The Mt Korong project is located 60km north-east of Leonora between Regal's Mt Zephyr and Eucalyptus Projects. Mt Korong comprises 14 Prospecting Licence Applications totalling 23 km2. Upon granting, Regal will undertake drilling to determine the true width of mineralisation in areas where the previous drilling terminated prematurely. Additional work will also be carried out to test the along strike and down dip extensions.

The Mt Korong project area covers the northern extensions of the Mt Morgans BIF – mafic – ultramafic belt. Exploration to date has concentrated on the BIFs. The BIFs appear to be the focus of a regional strike and splay fault system, which has subsequently been subject to common, small scale cross faulting. By comparison with the Mt Morgans area, there is still considerable potential in splay structures off the main BIF trend. These structures, in conjunction with BIF hosted mineralization, yielded approximately 1.2Moz of gold at the Mt Morgans project, and have received little attention at Mt Korong.

Mt Korong contains an inferred resource (JORC) of 1,050,000 tonnes @ 2.74g/t for 92,354 oz Au based on work completed by previous explorers.

Significant drilling results from previous exploration include:
