Mt Goose
Regal is earning an 80 per cent interest in the Mt Goose Project located 20km to the northwest of Laverton. The area contains mafics, ultramafics and BIF in a northwest-trending belt interpreted to lie in the same stratigraphic position as the Windarra nickel sulphide deposits. In 1970, a 60m x 30m soil and auger sampling program was conducted during the very active period following the Poseidon discovery. The results of this program defined a nickel anomaly with a peak value of 1.25% Ni. This highly anomalous area does not appear to have been followed up with any further work.
In addition to nickel, the Mt Goose greenstone is highly prospective for gold mineralisation.
